Please obtain a Class C (regular vehicle drivers license) from your State of residence. Each State has different requirements so please verify with your state. We cannot accept California residence.
Please contact us and let us know when you are ready to start on obtaining your Commercial Drivers License (CDL) and our recruiter can start the process by sending you an application and do a background check. While you are waiting or wanting to get ahead, please get your State of residence Class A permit. This can be obtained in the CDL school but arriving at school with your Class A permit helps you to complete the CDL training faster. Each State has different requirements and cost but most States require that you take 3 tests for the following: 1) General Knowledge 2) Endorsements and 3) Air Brakes. Upon successfully passing the 3 tests, DMV should issue you a Class A permit. Study materials for these test can be found on the Internet.
After the background check, we will send you and your codriver/teammate to Cedar Rapids, Iowa and you will go through a 2 to 3 week course to study and get hands-on driving experience to pass the Department of Motor Vehicle test. Upon completion, you and your team driver will go separately with a mentor to get On-The-Job training and be paid while you are out for 28 days. After 28 days, you will be brought back together and teamed onto a truck.
